Winter Bike Shoes

Winter Bike ShoesWhat precautions should I take my bike in the cold air of winter??

I'm going to be my bike this winter and I need some tips to keep warm and prevent disease in the cold air of winter. Mainly in what clothes / shoes / gloves to wear. I've been riding jacket comes with a good, but my throat was pretty messed up.

Thank you all for ur help

the key is many thin ... clothing than cycling is not thick anyway, a few layers with a good wind barrier (like a good windbreak Pearl Izumi) the outer layer. I like Pearl Izumi and Nike base layer, a thick long-sleeved shirt, a vest bicycle or layer of wool, then the wind.

that the posts have mentioned others, to cover his head under the helmet and gloves will help long finger, and remember to wear something outside of your shoes (as calientoes or shoe covers).

Remember you can always remove a layer as the temperature rises or your exercise makes you hot.

Definitely wear gloves and a hat under your helmet (more heat is lost through the head).

You can also get "cache" of weapons specific body parts - knees, legs, etc.

Here is a good site:

Gloves are a must, your hands get really cold
A good hat knit
a scarf or a face covering of a kind

if theres snow on the ground then worrid id be on the bike rusting chain and chain fall and you fall off the motorcycle sbow

Get a jacket with Gore-Tex.

You do not get sick of the cold air! You fall sick with a virus from another person ... What kind of bike? Road / mountain? What kind of conduct? Where are you? Are we talking about snow, rain or fair ?????

Skullcap under your helmet. much heat is lost through the head, it helps a lot.

glove fingers. Traditional mitts leave your fingers frozen.

nylon slacks. Need to be adjusted so that they don t get tangled in the chain. If below 30 degrees, then throw on some funds and John Long.

Finally, we do synthetic fibers for clothing (no cotton). It's warm when wet (sweat).

Finally wool socks help feet. My boyfriend tight shoes, it makes even wool socks over his shoes and he saiys it works very well.

This is what I wear during the winter:
A balaclava, because your face gets really cold and it will help warm the air you breathe, Maybe this will help your throat. Sometimes I just need a cap. But I put the cork with me just incase it gets warmer. Oh, do not forget sunglasses, if the weather is overcast get together with amber lenses. The sunglasses will help keep your eyes freeze up cons:)

gloves, windproof, I prefer the lobster gloves.
A base layer on top, just a tight fitting shirt, running over the top a thick long-sleeved shirt, and the wind proof jacket bike, I perfe my Pearl Izumi Barrier Jacket

On the bottom, a pair of regular riding shorts with tights windproof or a pair of thick tights.

On my feet, my wool socks and neoprene booties. my feet still get cold at times so I bandaged hand warmer pockets on top of my shoe, then put on the booties. What can I say that my feet are cold: (

Good luck! Winter training can be fun if you dress properly:)

Hooding fine which may cover your head, ears, neck and mouth and can be modified to adapt to changing conditions.

Neoprene is not the best material for winter clothing because the characteristics that keep you tight and dry outside the water is also inside the sweat, making you feel clammy.

A simple trick to help you keep your toes against the freeze is to keep your shoes.
