Let a Bike Kawasaki Ninja Street. Is it acceptable to wear a helmet while riding motocross?

I only ask because the shape of my face, a motocross helmet seems to fit better and is more comfortable, then a full face helmet.

I did some research and some of the highest quality helmets are manufactured to the same standards as the helmets of the street to protect the impact.
