Arai and Shoei ... They are great and you can not go wrong with either. I myself have a Shoya but would not hesitate to get an Arai.

also the other two brands you mentioned helmits do and they are both good brands for those.

Change is not bad, but definitely go to the Aria as they are fit and ventilation better than a Shoei

Shift is on par with the likes of Icon, Joe Rocket, etc. This is one of the hottest brands of clothing and accessories for motorcycles.

The only advantage you get out of Shoei and Arai helmets is the weight - they are lighter.

I have a HJC helmet, and that's fine. But my helmet is another ScorpionExo 400 - a bit heavy, but it is very comfortable in fit, and it tests as well or better than the Shoei and Arai - and only $ 140! The Shoei and Arai will be anywhere from 300-500!

For the jacket I would recommend Joe Rocket jackets. As for helmets, they are the same. A Shoei is cheaper than the Arai just a bit. I have actually. The Arai, who is my favorite, is very, very slight, however. But the shoe is probably the best for your money.
