I prefer to use medium for the Grand Prix. The character you choose effects your weight category of vehicles and painting. I prefer Yoshi on the Mach bike wheelies (because I can not get manual drift down). I usually use for testing medium too long, unless the course has a lot of off-road shortcuts, like the garden of peaches and Desert Hills

Mii A and B are required for engines with the head of your Mii. A has a blue jump suit. B has clothes similar to Mario.
Sorry but I have not been able to connect to the Internet for grading, but I have all but two first-place trophies in mirror mode, the higher the star rating 50-100cc.

Using Flame Runner with all the characters is easy to get three star ranking as you play well and do little or small errors in all Cups.

Mii equipment:

Miis female and male both have similar costumes.

Mii Outfit B:

The male has mii place like Mario.

The female mii dress.

For the best online: Mach Bike or Flame Runner

Fast (bike if allowed) on the first two circuits with fewer turns
balanced (bike when allowed) on circuits later, with more turns

A Outfit allows you to be a Mii and it's like being a small person
