Occ Fire BikeThe Top Ten Motorcycle Custom Builders

Since I spend much of my time studying and researching the world of custom motorcycles, I thought it might be fun to list my own top ten for the World Customs motorcycle. My choices were made solely on the quality and originality of their work and not how they are famous. Here they are in reverse order.

10. Choppers OCC - Six months ago these guys would not even made my list, let alone my top ten, but since Paul Jr. left the bikes they build are better than ever. The OCC bike gang only earns their place on the list.

9. Bobber Shop - The Thousand Oaks, California. If you want to see how well a stock Harley Davidson and turn it into a true custom you need to see the work these guys do. One of the best shops in the country customization.

8. Greg custom cycles - I do not know where Greg gets his ideas, but I hope they keep coming. One of the most creative manufacturers of bicycles in the country even smart enough not to do. A bicycle made by Greg will be truly unique.

7. Sam Nehme - extraordinary customizer Roadstar Sam's BMS Choppers maintains continuous pumping of high quality custom Yamaha. I credit Sam for metric bikes on to an acceptable form of transportation.

6. Arlen Ness - The guy is an artist. He is a legend. Arlen has pushed the boundaries of custom design further than any single individual I can think of. Many unique ideas Arlen made their way on bicycles in stock. A true pioneer.

5. Mondo - After taking charge of the Denver Choppers late Denver Mullins, Mondo has earned a place in the history of motorcycling, I feel, being one of the versatile custom bike builders around more . Mondo is one of the few manufacturers that include all styles of bikes and what makes it what it is.

4. Cole Foster - I once wrote that the image should be put Cole in the next dictionary in the world "cool". This is not a joke. This guy epitomizes cool and all that that means. While some claim that Foster and Salinas Boys have not built enough bikes to qualify for a spot as high on the list, my answer is that it is quality not quantity that counts.

3. Roland Sands - Hello, the next generation of custom bike builder. Roland does not seem possible to decide if he wants to build a race bike, a sports bike, a cruiser or road bike and off, so he built it just all in all bike. Probably the most talented artist of all custom motorcycle world, Sands has truly created his own style.

2. Wicked Custom Cycles - Who? You can ask are they? Well, do yourself a favor and Google and you'll know. My number two choice has been selected for their unique take on the V-Star 1100 as the basis for a custom motorcycle. They are without doubt the most beautiful building I saw bikes metric yet. Look these guys up.

1. -. Redneck Engineering The heart of a custom motorcycle is not in the engine, but rather the framework. Redneck took design frame to its ultimate perfection. They have developed styles new framework that manufacturers Bicycle others fall over themselves to use. The Redneck style is instantly recognizable, no matter who did the finishing work, and I can not wait to see what they develop next.

Like it or not, it's my top ten for builders of custom motorcycles. I hope I have given you something to think and invite you to visit one of the manufacturers that you have not heard before. Thank you for reading.
