How can I scrapbook patterned paper w / a background image important? I loved blocks of patterned paper, especially those with beautiful designs. But all the layouts for albums, I still see 2-3 pieces combine backgrounds (patterns generally small as dots and stripes) that could destroy large images on a large number of documents I have. Just snap some pictures in the empty spaces do not watch much. I can not find examples of pages done on these beautiful papers. Are there any links or suggestions on creative ways to use these documents? An example of one I'm working with: google "reindeer in the air" with "little yellow bicycle" or go to http://www.mylyb.com/25_days_of_christmas to see one of my papers.
Cut a photo matte a bit larger than your picture or you can get 6 on a 12 x 12 sturdy paper and trim your photos 4 x 6 1 / 4 "x 2 sides so they will fit with 1 / 8 border.
If you love design and want to keep, just put a picture or two caches on the patterned paper in areas where the model may be less intense. Or, match your paper solid patterned paper and perhaps cut the patterned paper to use elements on plain paper. Maybe cut the corners of the patterned paper to put on paper as a strong accent and matte photos on the solid or plain.
I have some examples to make the shots that I have no photos that can give you ideas. Sometimes I like a printed paper, but he is too busy to post pictures directly, so I use only part of it.
I very rarely mix models on a layout, if they are very subtle and moderate and only in small quantities. I like to mix solids with the reasons and I think it extends that pattern papers and more layouts.
Check out these links from my site. I hope they will give you ideas.
This link has layouts that use very bold patterned paper and matte photo. http://www.scrapbook-advice.com/Scrapboo ...

Try putting a plain paper between the page and your patterned paper ... like a carpet in a picture frame, with the edges sticking out of patterned paper amount still around.
I too patterned paper and sometimes it's my problem. I agree with using the matting or framing a little to erase the design. But I frame all my photos if I use a design as my base. But what I'm doing a lot is to use these pages many of my frames or accents on my pages. So, since it is a holiday theme, I'll get a white / green / red, and cut out shapes from this document and adds a lot. Or vice versa. So I guess my main recommendation is mats each image.
