Mountain Bike Riding Gear

Mountain Bike Riding GearRecommended for mountain bike riding gear?

What kind of clothes do you recommend wearing mountain bike, both for the warmer months and colder months, too? Do you use videos in shoes or running shoes normal?

First, you need a good helmet. I recommend at least, gloves and helmet to the extent the safe speed.

As for clothing. Get a good pair of bike shorts mountain of Fox or Royal TLD or Oakley, etc.. one of the major companies. It seems trivial if you do not ride, but if you do not spend much time in the saddle, you will thank you back to hold a chamois. The outer fabric is generally more resistant to wear and tear-resistant than regular shorts too so they wont be separated from the first time you get off. In summer, you just wear a pair of compression shorts underneath. In winter you can get a pair of pants to wear under cold compression shorts or, if you mount a ground justifying it, just pedal with your knee, shin / ON. Since you're pedaling your legs usually too cold in both cases.

Above, a t-shirt or jersey is beautiful in summer. In winter, I usually just wear a base layer compression under the t-shirt or a shirt on most days. If its very cold, or if its wet, I did wear a shell Burton Snowboard Pitto shell but good technical work. The important thing is that it is a good shell, breathable waterproof. It's really only there to keep you dry and keep part of your own heat.

Remember, when you ride, you'll exert much energy and create a lot of our own heat if you do not want to layer too. You should be a little cold to start, otherwise you'll wind too hot.

I tried clipless pedals and shoes a few times only because its what you always see the riders and old school boys and XC racers, etc. .. Honestly, I absolutely hate. They really make some huge advantages in terms of maximizing your pedal stroke, but for the land I ride, I must be able to bail away from my bike and find a safe place to land ... with clipless pedals, which is impossible. Unless you already know you like clipless pedals, I wouldnt recommend ... stick to flat pedals.

If you want the closest performance, I could never run out of clipless ... get a pair of shoes FiveTen with stealth rubber soles and a good pair of thin flat pedals strewn like Kona Wah Wah or Pimplites Atomlab or eThirteen Sotocattos, etc. .. You do not slide around your pedals, but you still have the option of "security" to bail when things go wrong.

In the warmer months - a base coat and a windbreaker. In the colder months - 2 Underwear (at least one long sleeved), a mid-layer and a light raincoat.
For trousers (or bib-set). Short-legged in the summer and heat in winter.
The buffalo are big at any time - cold neck and face protection in the colder months and for keeping the flies in the face, the spring and summer.

You can spend a fortune on underwear bike etc or go to Primark and buy T-shirts.

I use clipless pedals.

If it rained and there is a chance of mud, I could not wear your clothes more cycling as they will never be clean again.
bike shorts are a must, if it's cold, you can wear something over them. Shirts need to be resistant to wind it and you get cold and if you are wet, then it will be worse.

Summer: shorts and t-shirt
Fall: Shorts / Pants and base coat / Long Sleeve T-shirts / sweatshirt
Winter: all you need

I prefer clipless flat on ATV
