I'm looking for private lessons in mountain biking in the Miami area? Recently I bought my first mountain bike with no experience, since I am no longer a kid (41: () I would like to find someone who can give orders to a No. 1 lesson (in Miami) to learn and we hope to enjoy this sport. Thanks
You can probably learn what you need to learn from reading a couple of good books and / or DVD. Your library may have some DVD's for loan. Check Barnes & Noble or Amazon for good deals on the book by Ned Overend and others which relate to the skills ATV. One of the best advice I could give you is that speed is your friend ..... the slower you go, the harder it is to address the roots and obstacles, and less stable than you are by turns, weaving through the tight trees, etc.. aggression will help you overcome the things at first, and when you learn to manage your bike with a little experience and confidence, will slow down becomes easier.
However, if you really want lessons, it is best to contact the local bike stores to see if they know someone who did this or would be willing to do so. People Heck, you could probably hook up with a club and meet this way would be ready to take a few laps and help you.
Lee McCormack no lessons, and he is a fantastic rider skilled racer .... close friend / Brian Lopes, if you know who he is. They have collaborated on a great book on advanced skills, called Mastering Mountain Bike Skills. Well worth your time to finally get this book! As for its clinics, they are expensive, but it is ready to teach you, and even come to your hometown. His website is www.leelikesbikes.com and here is the link to his clinic info: http://www.leelikesbikes.com/skills-clin ...

I've never heard of lessons bicycles, except in a coach training. If I were you, I'd be with a cycling club in your area and see what they have to offer. Most clubs do group rides at various levels. Members are also very useful if and should be able to help. Talk with a few bike shops to find a club because they know or sponsor clubs in the region.
First, if you say what you need for every people, maybe they laugh at you, almost people do not know how to use bicycles as well, they do not know how to drive it myself as my first time. Let me explain, you must do your best, it is easy to learn motorcycle riding, try and try until you get. it is just to test more practical. but watch yourself, check your brakes, the component of your bike if they are completely fixed. Get your helmet for your support. Mountain biking is very easy to learn how to drive than the other ones. I hope you give a little effect in your question. Thank you.
To get out and ride! You're an educated man. Just do it!
What mountains are you in Miami? Florida is the flattest of American States.
I do not know of anyone offering private lessons and got some ideas. You can go and join a local mountain bike club. This should put you in touch with riders experience that can be able to coach you. I think Mud Club maintains the trails at Oleta, Markham and Quiet Waters Park. Of course, you have to pay to join and can be expected to help work the runway, but it's a decent saving to have nice places to ride.
The other idea is to turn to a bike shop that can provide some direction. Here are excerpts from an email I received that can help:
