Michigan Bike Routes

I would bike to work and from Milwaukee and Kimball in Chicago and Michigan. I thought to Milwaukee, but I am concerned about all the buses slow me down. Any suggestions on a route that is safe and does not require left turns? I'm not worried about the distance and it would be great to have someone experienced to ride the road once or twice with me.

Your best bet would be to Milwaukee Ave. while lower Chicago Ave. and then switch. Below is a link to the roads of the city street bike and the other for Logan Square itself. It shows the most used and safest routes. The maps should help immensely. And if you do not have anyone to ride with you, do not worry. There will be many more people riding the same route. Tons of people ride this route every morning. If you have a problem they will be happy to assist you. Why not post a note or something in a local cafe to see if someone who uses the road every day would be ready to guide you in the morning. Most people riding bikes are a nice group.
