London To Brighton Bike

I have a mountain bike full SUS will be hard work on the roads. Is it better to opt for a road bike or a hybrid course? As a heart patient, I want to participate next year. Thank you.

I participated in 1989 in Manchester Blackpool and the following year in London-Brighton. A hybrid would be the best mountain biking will be OK for Ditchling Beacon and some other hills, but the whole event is on the tarmac, then a mountain bike will work hard roads. Have fun and enjoy.
We made a video for the organizers in 1989 and have made a PROFFESIONAL addition to Italy for a little laugh (the brother of someone with whom I worked) He arrived in Blackpool before the line arrival had been erected, he passed me as I was about one third of the way to Blackpool position in the opposite direction. He had a shower, changed and flew to Italy before I finished!

If you do not want to go to the expense of a bike just for a day, get road tires on the wheels instead of knobby off-road. This should be a matching score. This will significantly reduce the rolling resistance of the bike and thus reduce the amount of fieldwork.

Although I would like to use my road bike, one person can make the fastest time, most people put their main objective as being able to say "I did it!" You certainly will not be the only one to do on an off-roader.

Hi Nick, I'm doing London to Brighton on my road bike so its easier it will be difficult on a full .... SUS and my legs do not hurt ... well I fell Hybrids are good, but I say road bike course ..... is my four years to London to Brighton, and I am doing ...... costumes and good luck

whatever you find comfortable and you might be able to complete the distance. However, I would personally say a road bike.

I recommend a road bike. Not one of those horrible aggressive, but a nice comfortable that you could travel over long distances.

A road bike will be faster and more comfortable hybrid.
