Iron Horse Warrior Mountain Bike

I'm new to mountain biking and looking to buy a decent bike starter. After discounts and shipping I can get the Forge for about $ 335. The Iron Horse run me $ 150 more after shipping and taxes. The specifications on the two bikes are quite similar, with the slight advantage going to the iron horse. I was just wondering if anybody has experience of these bikes and would know if the iron horse is worth the extra money. One of my buddies just got the iron horse and the other guy, I'll be riding with a Raleigh M80. I want something comparable to these two bikes I'm riding with two guys and maybe participate in some adventure races with them. I do not mind spending the extra money if necessary, but for me it does not look like the iron horse is worth extra dollars. I think I will not go out on the track and have a bike that is outclassed. Can anyone offer advice or suggestions?
