What do you think about products of character? Does anyone else feel that our lives are invaded by characters? Why is it that you can not buy anything without it being Hannah Montana, HSM, Dora, Hello Kitty, Bratz, etc.??? Why all the toys from McDonald's to be associated with a Disney / Pixar? In fact, I know the answers - its all marketing and media. It is produced, so therefore, the average American takes thoughtless we buy. Our children want to buy.
It makes me crazy that everything is to have something about it. My children are somethings character - there is no avoiding it. And they love HSM, but I put my foot to redo their bedroom or buy bicycles or other. Does anyone else see that these things are fads and that next year, you will not be able to find someone to take that Hannah Montana guitar with your hands and it ends up in landfills.
Sorry for ranting .... I'm tired of all themes. These children will remember longer than their clothes and toys are not associated with some major marketing ploy.
Amen
I am particularly to the baby in my room colors or animals to prevent generics from this tendency to worship the crazy anime (or fictional) character!
my kids have character toys etc.I 'd do not decorate their rooms with the latest fashion but .... My daughter has a "groovy chick" bike, but because the style is not the character ... Due to problems of development it needed a bike with more style handlebar, groovy chick was alone in this style and size she needed ........
lol I like it made me millions lol
My son is instantly Wall-E today.
I went to the grocery store yesterday and saw the purchase occurs, Dora the Explorer canned corn! nothing special about it, he just had a picture of Dora on a can of regular corn (and cost 50 cents more). I was like, you can not possibly be serious. It is simply ridiculous
I have to buy clothes in stores that do not force TV or movie characters in the throat. Since K-Mart Steve and Barry. My stepdaughter is 10 and has a single Hannah Montana shirt and it is because a parent has bought for her. My son is only 16mos but I've already told friends and family not to buy him clothes with characters of the media on them. I know that my biggest problem with my step-daughter does not miss his TV characters want clothing brands. Her mother thinks she should wear Gap, Old Navy and clothing too limited. These things are more expensive than the clothes I would buy for me! I put my foot on that at our house and said that when she can afford to buy his own clothes shop where she can she wants, but until then, especially when it is still cramped After a season of wear, I'll continue to buy less expensive (and usually higher quality) clothes. Why do some people think that the labels on your clothes that you are?
Of course, they are patterns and they do not like in a year, but that's what they love. It makes our children happy, and if we want to spend the money on him, we Dang! I mean just because something is Fisher Price, we buy for our babies right? This is not a character, but it is a brand name. That there is what we buy. It is not wrong, it's just the way it is. My daughter has had three theme rooms and it has already grown out of his bedroom princess after 2 years. For the next room, it will be just a girly room and no more themes. After a certain age, you'll be on the theme rooms, but it is fun for children and we have the money to do so.
