This handle bar works well with my Forerunner 305 (mounted on a vintage early Stump Jumper without suspension). I have a bunch of other stuff on my bars (Garmin eTrex Vista HCx, and a speedometer Cannondale), so I appreciated the simple and unobtrusive. I think I saw another review that suggested it would be nice to have the ability to "flip screen" down on the precursor series so that the antenna was pointed up while on the mounting bar, and I agree. However, having said that, I could not measure any appreciable error while mounted next to the eTrex Vista (which has the antenna pointed in a optimal orientation). It's really nice to have the Forerunner mounted on the handlebar rather than my wrist all ATVs! It leaves my hands and wrists without wiping the sweat away and branches. It is possible to work on buttons (incurred during your wrist when you ride), and I count on the fact that the Forerunner are less likely to be damaged in an accident when mounted on the bike rather than my body (yet untested). I recommend this product to a friend.
