The weight is substantially the same - perhaps the lighter carbon is £ 1 ... In addition, bicycles are an extra 20% on the selling price.
Thank you!
Scatter is a trademark performance gained when they bought another bike retailer. (Maybe Supergo, but I do not really remember.) Like many other companies, the yield private label these bike frames made in Asia. I took a look at a number of these executives wandering in my local store performance and they seem OK.
Component wise, they both have a fairly typical mix of things that is on most bikes in this price level. With Ultegra stuff, I would be quite tempted by the R660. Remember, there is nothing wrong with 105 components, but Ultegra is a bit lighter and smoother.
Honestly though, I forget the components and focus on ride quality. Get the shop to fit you, then take each one for an hour or two ride. Purchase one that feels best for you. Do not buy after a journey of 10 minutes in the parking lot. It is simply not matters of fit and comfort.
I love the performance and have spent thousands of dollars in their stores and online. The local manager is a friend and I know that most of their mechanics by name. I've never been impressed by the sales of bicycles of their people, but, and I've never bought a bike there. I strongly recommend you do some price comparable to other bike shops. I try theTrek, Cannondale, Specialized and Giant in much the same price range. You can find the love of a scatter, or you can find another bike that is just perfect for you.
Hope this helps.
The thing about these bikes is that they are sold in bike shops for performance, so who knows who is really? I would really Leary of buing any house brand bike when there are so many others out there. By the way, that the sale "price listed on the website is the normal price, so do not think you really get a $ 2,100 bike for $ 1,400.00. Shop in small private shops and see what you find this price range.
for the price range I prefer to stick to Giant or Fuji. you get a lot more Asian companies, Shimano components and better things
sfr it right. A test ride will tell the story. The bike last year, I bought, I knew immediately that I was sitting on the right one. A pound of weight is not a big problem for most of us. If it is, simply abandon the beer and pizza for a couple of days .....
FWIW, my drummer everyday is a performance M101 (MTB), one of the last few sold before they dropped the bike brand performance. Best $ 350 I ever spent. Its been 6 years of hell and still going strong, with some parts replaced here and there, of course. Even won a race in 12 hours on her bike (with his teammates .....).
