Discount Bike Shoes

Discount Bike ShoesRoad Cycling Shoes / Pedals - Shimano SPD, SPD-SL, or watch?

I just bought a road bike (actually TT bike for the triathlon), and will purchase shoes and pedals. I was wondering if anyone had opinions on the 3 major brand / type of pedals: SPD, SPD-SL, and look.

Currently, I am in favor Shimano SPD-SL for the entire area and of course the reputation of Shimano products. I know virtually nothing to watch, but do not want to discount entirely, because I can be educated about a great product.

With your thoughts on the pedals, please give their opinion on the shoes, if you have any.

My price range is about 100 dollars on pedals / cleats, maybe 150-200 on the shoes.

Thank you.

I use on my shoes spd mountain bike for triathlons now. It was my shoe in place when I bought the motorcycle and make the exercise. I have not changed the set-up from entering the triathlon last year, I really need to move. The only advantage of my current setup is "It is easier to run in shoes mountain road shoes.

However, triathletes normally run not in their cycling shoes. <== (Period emphasis) They train to leave their shoes attached to their bikes. Running barefoot outside the transition zone and mounting stepping into their shoes while starting the constituency. Same with dismantling, you unstrap your shoes before the drop zone and barefoot walking on land (or with socks if you must) and run back into the transition area without shoes.

If your new to triathlons, your transition time might not seem so important to you, but one minute 4 T1 (transition1 change means to swim bike) really adds second. Become an expert and practice your T1 and T2 can reduce as much as 5 minutes of your time overall sprint distance.

Ultimately, the systems of inspection or SPD-SL are the way forward. I do not know anyone who uses the SPD-SL system LOOK only seems to be the first choice on the stages of sorting I go.

For me, when I finally go to tri shoes (soon to be) I'll go with the cheaper LOOK pedals (gray to around $ 80) and a strap tri shoe, instead of the strap 3 that I Now, (performancebike.com a cheap brand shoes sorting Lake for $ 60 now). I'm going to go cheap here because the equipment will get scratched and dented doing triathlons, no matter how much you practice. Keep your road to Sidi espenses current training rides.

If the price is not objective, the bottom carbon tri shoes .. $ 200 to 300 brands like Shimino, Sidi, Pearl Izumi, all champion .. are a better choice because they are lighter. In a triathlon, lighter is better, so all that carbon is the best you can get, but also expensive.

Hope this helps
