What I can say is a hat made of polystyrene with plastic seals to it like any other helmet. Well ok I will say the following.
It is easy to put on a child, although the straps adjust so it will grow with your Childs head and strap design means it will not just pop off if they chance to come on their bike, trike, skates wheels, etc. My daughter 't remove it once it is attached to so that these things happen, it's a winner. Yes, I want another Bell product.

We have four children under six years. We like to go biking family and all wear helmets. This helmet was just a wonderful addition to our collection of safety equipment when our child 2 1 / 2 years, refused to wear a helmet when riding a bike riding carrier /. Remember, he had never known anything other than to see some of our neighborhoods older children riding without helmets. Our rule is "no helmet, no bike. Our little lion love this helmet and wore it without complaint. He told the other children he was sure they did not damage a helmet like his lion.

The helmet meets all safety requirements and is certified as such. There is also a handy sticker included to write your name and address inside the helmet. The bonus for this headset is its lion charm with a "real" mane. There are faux fur for the lion's mane on both sides of the helmet. Adorable!
