Castelli Bike

I have a 34 "waist and thighs strong enough strong, but I'm only 5 '6" tall. On the website it says that Castelli bib cycling shorts have a slim fit European then you must buy atleast a size bigger than usual. Can someone help me choose a size?

My Castelli bibs are a means. I take the same size in the United Kingdom. I 34''taille. Hope this helps
