My 9yr old is terrified to learn to ride a bike.He breakfast is £ 50, 50in, this / bicycle training wheels should I expect? I would find a bike can be a kind of cruise along the ground or something. He is afraid of heights. I tried to learn with the other bikes but the training wheels are so small and flippin offer no guarantees. I wish they made a cool tricycle older children not a green machine or anything, but a bike with training wheels plus 2 studier. Please let me know if you have any information or suggestions. Thank you very much!
He needs your assurance that he can ride two wheels - no training wheels.
A 20-inch bike is what you want. (Or 16 if 20 inches is too big)
But most of the 20 inche bike will be a problem as follows:
For the seat height is ideal for cycling (the seat) will not be perfect for learning flat foot. And more "cautious" kids really need that foot flat on the ground to feel good doing.
Here's a 20 "townie solving the problem - I'm sure there are others out there but in general this is what you want - the headquarters set up to correct the distance the pedal and the foot flat on the ground too. It's a bit expensive - but I'm sure there are other brands like that. Ask the bike shops - foot flat designed as a townie bike.

Anything you buy to go with him having to sit on the bike. My son has 3 bikes because some were too big at first, it is too small.
I would not bother with training wheels, they are just a crutch. Instead of making him a razor scooter (19 target) before the motorcycle. It uses a similar technique to balance the bike director for balance, etc. .. But it is a little less afraid - one foot on the scooter and another on the ground with .... no bike between his legs.
And when he can ride the scooter - and the balance that district for more than 15 feet or so - then put it on the bike.
But the takeoff of the first bike pedals - and no training wheels. Have him sit on the bike and push both feet and steer and balance and use his feet to push hisself. Let him use his feet to stop and balance, if necessary - tell him to think that it is a scooter with a seat.
When he can do as well in both slow and fast (slower is more important, teaches balance) - then put the pedal back and I try to mount it - while you cling to him and let go.
Tell him he can do and what it means. Because he can not really.
If it got scars ... back to the scooter .... he may need a gentle push (emotionally) from time to time.
Our son decided he would never ride a bike again when we took off the training wheels. All other children in the street were two-wheel bike when he rode a Ferris wheel and did not care. Until we gave him an emotional impulse ... with some waving (one emotional growth) it has done over four days time.
For you, it may take a week or two (or more) - this is not serious. Do not give up and he encorage to never give up, there will always tomorrow. But the training wheels say it is okay to leave.
Riding a bike is like life in many ways - teaching autonomy, freedom, confidence and, sometimes, you just fall. But you never give up and go back and try again. It is not easy - and it can also teach work - it worth your child.
I can not really remember the bike with training wheels but the boy I remember the first time I made a Wheeler 2 by myself ... I felt great and I could do it and is a manufacturer asteem autonomy.
He needs training wheels you.
And when he does - to celebrate its achievements.
Do what I recommend for adults, who are also terrified of falling. This is called "dr.
