Bike Routes Across America

I plan to go cycling on the road 76 to the west Transamerican bike, I know it starts in Yorktown, Virginia, but can someone tell me exactly where it begins?

The eastern end of the trail Transamerica - which is also called Route 76 begins cycling - which crosses the York River Chesapeake Bay at Yorktown in Virginia.

(This is actually marked on maps obtained from Adventure Cycling Association for this track.)

According to online maps, it begins to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina is not Virginia. It seems to start on the port of the island in this city.
