Follow my easy steps below and get your self in the habit of obtaining a motocross bike in excellent condition and ready for the race.
- Clean your bike up and down. Dirt is everywhere, and a lost coin could stop all this work. Of course, there will be loads on the track but why start at a disadvantage.
- Clean the dirt on your fork, not only dirt destroy your joints it will slow the speed at which your work forks. If you can afford to get fork protectors or savers seal. A stone flight can be really expensive if you take a piece of your fork.
- Make sure the heater is clear of land, air, thanks to that keeps your bike at the right temperature.
- Take your cables, clean and lubricate.
- Do not go crazy on oiling and lubrication of components that are external. Just enough to lubricate, but not too much or dust stick like a magnet.
- Check the water level and water conditions. If it looks dirty, chances are it is now blocking your system. be changed before it drops you.
- Check oil levels, change it again if necessary. You should make a habit of changing oil and water on a regular basis.
- Check all nuts and bolts on the bike. From the front and consistently move through the bike. I have seen many a race lost by a simple nut out of a motocross bike. I even saw seats lose confidence in myself and try to focus all of a seat beat is not going to keep you with the best.
