Bike Grips

Bike GripsHow can I stop my bike handles twisting mountain on the bar?

In addition to buying the locking handles or other gripping systems, I would like to know how to handle to stay on the bar better.
My rubber handles often turn into stock. I have a plug socket on the inside so that the handle does not move inward.

I usually use primer bumper to keep the stick on the handle bar so that it would not turn. Now I have no more bumper primers.
Could be a less costly Coca Cola?

Hey Rong,

My cousin uses the cooked rice. Run to your nearest Chinese or Asian restaurant and just ask for a teaspoon of rice and put it in a cup. Start smashing the rice in the bowl with your fingers or a spoon and then add a little water to make the consistency of a thick paste. Then smear the rice paste on the grips and handlebars. Drag the handles on the dough and let it dry. When the rice dries, it is like a biological glue! Eat the rest of the rice paste, if you're hungry. My cousin is really cheap, then a very innovative person. You can also try any type of nail polish or varnish. Give it try Grasshopper!

JM and Ride * Hi! Urban
I did it to "Top contributor" as you guys! Ya, this trick works until the rice grips get wet or sweat! As far as I know, you can use the apple, grape or pineapple juice for the adhesive bond. LoL!

gorilla glue, epoxy. or u can drill a hole along and put a bolt in the hole. which should prevent him from moving and ur bike look like Frankenstein

u should put electrical tape on the bars heart. taken as a good-looking rubbery

3M spray adhesive (stregnth average)

1 box lasts a lifetime

Superglue, I used to use. Do not make a mountain bike, no more than ...

I used to use my spray mums and works very well, but I have been using the glue PVC pipe stuff. I do not know what is called but its blue and it works really well because the chemicals in this kindof melt the rubber and the rubber is melted into bars. do not think saving handles well because they have to be cut when you want to remove. I do not know about coke it seems to work well.

Hardware stores sell an adhesive that comes in a box. Spray it on and put your grips and let it dry for about five minutes and you should be good to go.

Hairspray.

Nothing like a lock-on grips. They twist EVER!

Once they begin to slide, I usually just buy a new grip. I hate the headache of trying to prevent rotation. If you must go out and buy a box of this or a bottle of this to make it stick, you might as well get a new grip anyway.

LOL @ the turn of rice! It rawk! And it must be better than soda. : O)

I suggest you glue some rubber adhesive contact /. You can get a tube of it for a couple of bucks and it works well.

Another thing you can do is to polish the ends of your bars. Many of them have a textured finish shot-peening, but most bars have a section for smooth polished handles. It really helps to keep them in place, unless you get water under them. Use sandpaper to smooth 600g, then rinse clean and place them on the handles. You may still need an adhesive or a new grip, but the plain bars really help much.

I used to clean mine thoroughly with WD-40 and once you slip on and let it dry usually never moves from where u put it .... Hope this helps.
