Bicycle Helmet Mirror

Bicycle Helmet MirrorHas anyone seen a mirror for a bicycle helmet?

Yesterday I was in the bus and looked out the window to see a man with a mirror cut right on his helmet. it is cut off from the existence of such a small alligator clips attached to a metal bar about the size of a pen, a small circular mirror about 2 inches in diameter.

it appeared as if it could just as easily be attached to a baseball cap. if anyone has seen them, or know what stores carry them, or if someone could find a link to a place that sells them online. I could not imagine a more than $ 10 though.

I rode with a helmet mounted mirror for at least 10 years. They are much better than bar-end mirror, because they can target where you want and (probably) less bounce. Also, if you have more than a bike - as I do - a helmet mirror avoids having to buy multiple mirrors. I suppose there is a theoretical possibility of eye injury ... but I've never heard of one person and that the benefits far outweigh any risk of short stature.

See the link for a good overview of bicycle mirrors.

You can get almost anywhere, but I will not give a link because I think they are a bad idea.

Why? Do you really want a sharp stick as close to the eye in an accident?

I somewhat agree with the first post, I really do not want a mirror near my eyes, but here's your link.

If you drive just buy a mirror to the handlebars of his safety.

I have a mirror on my handlebar road bike and I would not ride without it nowadays. It is better to have a fixed handlebar rather than the one attached to your helmet.

I agree with agb90 post.

If you have the choice of mounting bar mirror or not mirror at all, I would go without the mirror. With the helmet mounted variety, you're not forced to look down or off, your eyes off the road in front of you is minimal or nonexistent.

I have not heard of someone getting the blind eye by the helmet / goggles mirror. In an accident, what is the probability of the mirror bending strains around you stick in the eye? Really?

They are worn by many eccentric ........ why do not you both and really make a statement .........
