Which should I use to take my bike seven months old with me?? A baby carrier or a bicycle trailer??? Which would you choose?
The baby carrier (based mainly on the bike behind you.)
The bicycle trailer (the one you pull when riding your bicycle and the child is closer to the ground.)
At seven months. old baby carrier that attaches to the back of the bike might be great for a short trip, but if the baby falls asleep, he / she could fall loops. It is far too upright and even if a seven months. old is recovering very well when he is awake, he / she might become too tight if they had to do for too long.
I used a bike trailer until my child was one year and not in the car seat for older baby. Therefore ... I have put the baby seat of any car in the trailer, the loop of my child safe (because it is difficult to find helmets that meet at 7 mos old and you do not have to worry about the child pulling off). I knew my child would be comfortable and I do not worry about what was happening behind me. I thought it was much safer.
Obviously, this decision is yours to make, but I would like to invest in the trailer, because you can use for years and I personally believe it is much safer for a young child, especially if you can adjust the seat self in ~
I love those who go on the best bike. Most of them are similar to a car seat, because they are molded around the baby and act like a shell. They also have 5 point harness, which protects a baby better. If you were to take a spill on the bike, yes, baby down with you, but it would be secured in a protective shell which would most damage differ.
Trailers scare me. They are closer to the ground, but they are taken behind the bike. If you are in traffic or even with other bikers, they are easy targets. Since they are attached to the bike they are going to tip over if the bike falls. Yes, they are closer to the ground, but they do not offer much protection.
Also with a young baby and toddler youth, it is better to have more up behind you. It allows them to communicate their needs better and you can let them know that you are nearby. A baby may be happier if he can clearly see mom and even touching. Put in a trailer behind the bike distance (literally) and made sure that you are less aware of what is happening there.
I think a trailer for the bike - I always worry if you fall from your bike, your child has nowhere to go but the hard groudn with you - even in a trailer, make sure you put a Helmut on him / her
a trailer and if the baby falls asleep you do not have to worry if he or she has outgrown but until they make seats for children who are sitting in front of you on the bike
I think a trailer would be safer
I used the trailer with my children when they were young, instead of the carrier myself. I was always afraid that I fall and they fall with me!
Personally, I think, or because of the age of the child if the child were older say the trailer, because if the bike falls, it would not hurt as bad as he is he would because it is closer to the ground
