Cycling holidays Beach holidays The first time I decided to go mountain biking was, believe it or not, at the age of 23! It is unfortunately true that during my childhood, I missed the fun and joys of cycling in the streets and even more exciting to tour the paper! In addition, I had never known the joys of a holiday mountain bike with my family, especially since no member of my family (except one or two) could ride a bike!
Now, this does not mean that I had a private education. Far from it, I was just always afraid to do something that could break or hurt my members - so my family has opted for safer sport like golf, badminton and (contrary to the fears) of swimming! However, this has never prevented him from learning to ride a bike, then fifteen years later to actually start cycling - all in an attempt to prepare myself for the holidays counters dreaded first mountain bike experience.
Until a few years ago, I did not know that such a holiday exists. In fact, other than skiing, snowboarding, bungee jumping and skydiving, I was not aware of biking holidays in France - and I was not aware of bike championships held each year. Clearly, the right bikers' now probably think that I had not lived until I at least was involved in a cycling holiday!
However, I learned that places like Les Gets (France), riding in the Andes (Chile and Argentina), Cuba and as far as Ethiopia housed space for mountain biking. An adventure as it seems too good to be true for Avid bikers, many were placed on the same basis as bungee jumping or skydiving. It is the dream thrill junkies, but also a tourist experience of a lifetime. It is certainly something I'm looking forward to.
Holidays in places like Ethiopia for some people, can evoke the image of a poor country with plains and dusty bumpy roads bumpy. Far from this misconception is a turbulent history, friendly people full of pride in their country and living in a country which has some of the highest peaks in the continental shelves. As the 6500m of descent, there is still a lot of climbing and the odd rocky road tracks and mountain trails to keep you busy.
The French Alps is famous for all athletes is the versatility, skiing in particular. However, when the snow melts down and the sun's rays through it is a relaxing yet stimulating mountain biking paradise. The high mountain peaks open to mountain bikers of all levels of professionals passionate mountain bikers for the first time free riders. There are cottages nearby that can accommodate people of all ages and they offer English and French speaking guides to give people around the earth.
For those looking to relax on the beach in Spain, try taking a trip to the Marina Alta Mountain in Valencia, where people can spend one week following the winding paths, while enjoying the beautiful landscape beside them. These mountain trails were originally built for the donkeys and over the years, these secondary trails became more educated. However, the mountain path is almost hidden by the tourists which makes the experience a district without interruption.
People planning a visit should take into account the perspectives of mountain biking holiday, this is not something that should be approached with hesitation, but more for the joy of experiencing something new. Not to mention more economical and ideal for keeping fit whilst enjoying a relaxing holiday abroad. Holidays need not involve large amounts of alcohol and beaches, the option to participate in something seems to be exciting, challenging and very refreshing.
