I have a 2000 Audi A4 model, we have tied the trunk shut down while carrying a bike. The trunk was notcompletelyyclosedd but it was tied together in the town where it would normally connect if it would be able to go all the way down. Now it will close, but it will not be taken. The latch works when you stick a screwdriver in there, but when you close it, it will not stay closed because it is not (A) closing, (B) when normal operations are open to preformed the. The alarm works if I know that the sensor still works but I wonder if this is not something like (a) the source does not work, or (b) the security system is it can not close. ROFL would not that be funny for a system not to let u close ahhh!

You have probably triggered the trunk lock in the closed position. Since the lock is in closed position it can not engage when you try to close the trunk. The same thing can happen on a door. If the trunk can be unlocked with a key to try to insert the key and unlock that will free up the larch. If not using a key, then unlock it with the lever or electronic drive.

you may have bent the latch or striker may be triggered latch closed.
