Airless Bicycle Tires

Airless Bicycle TiresAIRLESS TIRES??

Ok, so I decided to challenge two miles cliff bar and ride my bike to work from now to reduce Green House Gas. So I drive 22 miles round trip.

The problem is that I get so many apartments and I am really considering buying these tires without air. Has anyone had experience with them. I heard they are used in the same Tour de France.

Here tires $ 50 for 2 is very similar to me. http://airfreetires.com/Bicycle/Legacy/7 ...

Well, unlike others I experience with them. I have used on a road bike and I'm always one on my mountain bike. My mountain bike is now a suburb.

Pros-no more housing and if that is holding you back is a great reason to go with it. When I started biking I get a flat every time I'm freaking out and it was not terribly technical trails. I made a choice to go with a tube of foundation called "No More Flats."

Cons sure the wheels take a cons incredible! There is a strange sensation of the rim and I can not compound the rim of the head more. Installation is a freaking nightmare! 2-3 hours finally I had to take my wife to one of the screwdriver. I broke two or three levers to try to install it. The most difficult thing Dad gum!

I used it on a road bike too. The rims do not take so many blows, but man, it adds much weight to the bike. So, you pay a price. It is newer technology, better now so it may be that the magnitude of the problem.

Thank you Sorry I've been busy, I would have taken too much like the best answer. Thank you pour votre aide. I went a head and bought. I hope they work great.

I have not had any expirience with the tires, I remember seeing as a kid, I guess you get a stiffer ride, but if it's just for work, perhaps you'll be fine. ..

N exp tubless tires on the road but I got some underground tanks for mountain bikes and they still feel that the tire tubes IMO. I guess the difference would be somewhat more pronounced on a road bike but I doubt you will get problems.

That said, I do not know how much it will help you with apartments ... the thing is tubeless gaining weight that increases the durability of the tire. You can also run into a lot more "pinch" flats with UST as tubes.

I remember these tires (without air) when I was a kid at Kmart. They looked stiff dinner, but if you have a padded saddle and lots of good roads, they may feel like street tires inflated to 110 PSI.

Regarding TDF NO! nobody has tried to tour .. overmore .. These tires are very heavy for serious use. Some pro riders in the peloton tried tubeless tires (Hutchinson), which are much more expensive and you must buy a special wheels (Shimano mainly).

If I were you, I'll look for other solutions first.

The tires of the Tour are likely tubeless (new high-end Dura Ace) is a ball game altogether different. The tires are usually airless.
